Mathematical models and computer experiment

Image formation in broad wide-angle acoustic objective

S. V. Baykov, T. A. Tikhonova

N. N. Andreyev Acoustics Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: The method of the field formation in acoustic objective is considered. This method is based on the combination of ray and wave representations of sound propagation and takes into account diffraction effects in focal region. The examples of the plane waves focusing are given. The comparison of some results of mathematical modeling with theoretical estimations is fulfilled.
