Numerical simulation of equilibrium helical configuration with plasma on the separatrix

Abstract:
A numerical model of equilibrium plasma configuration in a cylinder with plunged helical conductors supposes plasma concentrating near the separatrix magnetic surface. Computations show that such a configuration admits confinement parameters, more advantageous than traditional stellarators.
