The process of wastewater flow in sewer network pipes

M. G. Boyarshinov, D. Yu. Kiselev, A. E. Kozlinskikh
Abstract: The process of wastewater flow in sewer network pipes is considered. The simulation of a flow in one rectilinear pipe uses solution of system of nonlinear equations in partial derivatives in the form offered by M. D. Chertousov. To integrate this system the finite difference method is used. The two approaches are compared: the linearized system of the nonlinear equations and the Newton method. Areas of stability and convergence of both numerical solutions are estimated. The results of computer simulation are compared with data from experimental measurements.
