Nonstationary lasing

Abstract: The problem of non-stationary lasing from optical resonators loaded with a saturable active medium is considered. The split-operator based numerical code for the system of non-stationary quasioptical wave equations and relaxation-type medium equation is suggested. The efficiency of the numerical code was demonstrated for the problem of the relaxation oscillations when single-mode lasing is establishing. The beating of the longitudinal and transverse modes was modelled also using this code.
