Abstract:
We consider a method for random signal and homogeneous random fields numerical generation and their application examples for aeroacoustics problems. The stochastic fields are modeled using Randomized Spectral Method. Generalized algorithm for developing smooth realizations of random processes with specific energy spectrum is used for two pulsation models: a homogeneous turbulent velocity field with von Karman spectrum and a noise model with piecewise constant spectrum. We are studying two aeroacoustics problems using developed models. Uniformly distributed in specified frequency band noise (“pink” noise) is used as disturbance in boundary for mixing layers problem. Another problem uses turbulent velocity fields as an input parameter in a acoustic wave dispersion on turbulent background.
