Abstract: The results of the direct simulation of 2D steady and 3D unsteady flows in the inner atmosphere of a comet has been presented. The investigation of the influence of the shape and non-uniform gas production of the cometary nucleus surface on the parameters of the atmosphere has been carried out. Effective parallel algorithms were used for the simulation.
