Abstract: The problem is considered for estimation of supersonic viscous flow entrance conditions from measurements in downflow cross-sections. The adjoint problem is used for the fast calculation of residual gradient in the space of control (entrance boundary) parameters. Results of numerical experiments corroborate the feasibility to solve the considered inverse convection problem using steepest descent method.
