Gasdynamical consequences of the explosion of the tunguska cosmic body

D. V. Rudenko, S. V. Utyuzhnikov

Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology
Abstract: Numerical simulation of gas dynamical consequences of the explosion of the Tunguska cosmic body is made. The overall process, from explosion till to the penetration into nearsurface atmosphere layers and interaction with the Earth surface, is simulated in single 3-D computation. Comparison of the results of the simulation both with and without taking into account of the radiation thermal fluxes is given. Strong influence of ihe radiation processes on the obtained results is demonstrated.
