Modeling of nonequilibrium processes in hypersonic flows

Dorodnitsyn Computing Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: The methods of study of the nonequilibrium flows past hypersonic flying apparatus in the Earth or another planet's atmosphere are discussed. On the low altitudes the sufficiently exact description of considered phenomena by gas dynamic methods is possible. But using of kinetic theory on the high altitudes is advisable. Some examples of calculations are cited.
