Simulation of turbulent flow and heat transferin the axi-symmetric cavity with rotating disc

Abstract: Turbulent flow and heat transfer of viscous compressible fluid in the closed axi-symmetric cavity with rotating disc are considered. Flow structure, friction and heat transfer properties are investigated depending on gap the between stator and rotor and rotational Reynolds number. The comparison of local and integral properties of the flow, calculated on the base of different turbulence models, with experimental data and correlation dependencies is established.
