Abstract:
The mixed convection of water was investigated in a square driven-cavity, near to a density inversion point numerically. The effect was studied of top lid's velocity and extremum of water density on a structure of convective flow in a stationary condition and on a heat transfer. The numerical study was conducted for three Grashof numbers $(0^4; 1,5\cdot 10^4; 2\cdot 10^4)$ and for Reynolds number varied in a range from 0 up to 300. The figures illustrating evolution of stationary solutions for different Reynolds numbers are represented. Two various types of stationary solutions are shown in a range of Reynolds numbers from 43,25 up to 56,15 (for $\rm{Gr}=l,5\cdot 10^4$).
