Abstract:
Amorphous titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles were obtained by the sol–gel method with subsequent crystallization to anatase by annealing at 350 °C for 4 h. Based on the research results using XANES and EXAFS X-ray absorption spectroscopy, it was determined that the as-prepared amorphous TiO2 contains vacancies in the oxygen and titanium sublattices.
