Abstract: For the first time dienediaminoketones (1-benzoyl-2-arylamino-4-dimethylaminobuta-1,3-dienes) have been used in a reaction with benzoquinone and as a result 2-dimethylamino-3-(1’-aryl-3’-benzoyl-5’-hydroxyindol-2’-yl)-5-hydroxybenzofurans have been synthesized.
