Abstract: The electrochemical reduction of 61-(2,2-diethoxyacetyl)-61-(diethoxyphosphoryl)methano[60]fullerene accompanied by the opening of a three-membered ring results in the formation of 2-diethoxymethyl-3-diethoxyphosphoryl-3a,61a-dihydrofullereno- [1,2-b]furane.
