Abstract: The Sr1–xYxF2+x (x ≤ 0.6) nanocrystalline solid solutions precipitated at an ambient temperature from the aqueous solutions of metal nitrates crystallized in a cubic system with a = 5.800 – 0.230x [Å]; their composition range of homogeneity is wider than that for samples prepared at a higher temperature (from 850 °C to melt).
Keywords: nanofluorides, fluorite, stroncium fluoride, yttrium fluoride, phase diagrams, photonic materials.
