Abstract: The reaction of a lithium ansa-bis(aminopyridinato) ligand {L=[N(2-C5H4N)SiMe2CH2]22} with ZrCl4 afforded the dimeric complex [LZrCl(μ-Cl)]2 which was characterized by X-ray structure analysis and found active in catalyzing ethylene polymerization.
