Abstract: Three novel metal-organic frameworks based on an N-centered ligand H2L [4,4-(phenylazanediyl)dibenzoic acid], namely, [Cd(L)(bimx)1/2], [Cd(L)(dpe)]·H2O, [Cu(L)(dpe)1/2]·H2O, [bimx = 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene, dpe = 1,2-di-(pyridin-4-yl)ethane], have been obtained and characterized by elemental analysis and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. Their thermal stability properties are also discussed in detail.
