Abstract: The novel ionic liquid N-methyl-N-[2-(2-methoxyethoxy)-ethyl]piperidinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide was synthesized from N-methylpiperidine by a sequence of nucleophilic substitution and anion exchange reactions and characterized by physico-chemical and electrochemical methods.
