Abstract: The reaction of 3,3-disubstituted 1-chloromethoxy-1-triazene 2-oxides with tetramethylammonium hydroxide results in corresponding [methylenebis(oxy)]bis(1-triazene 2-oxides). Treatment of 1-chloromethoxy-3-(2-hydroxyethyl)-3-methyl- 1-triazene 2-oxide with Me4NOH gives 16- and 24-membered intermolecular cyclization products.
