Abstract: The CO-DRIFTS investigation of a Pd–In catalyst obtained via the PdIn(AcO)5 complex showed the presence of single palladium atoms isolated by indium on the surface. A short-time exposure to air under ambient conditions induced the decomposition of the single-atom structure, which can be recovered by mild reduction.
