Abstract: Multi-liposomal containers were prepared via electrostatic adsorption of 50 nm anionic liposomes on the surface of cationic chitosan nanoparticles (nanogels) 270 nm in diameter. The containers are stable in aqueous-salt solutions but degrade in the presence of proteolytic enzymes down to 10–15 nm particles and release water-soluble substances encapsulated into the adsorbed liposomes. Based on the kinetic data, the mechanism of the release is discussed.
