Abstract:
New β-alanine modified tricarbocyanines containing various substituents at quaternized nitrogen atoms were obtained. The peptide synthesis method has been utilized for further conjugation thus giving promising tricarbocyanines containing two sulfonate groups and total negative charge of the fluorophore.
