Abstract: Using the model of CD95-induced apoptosis regulation and systematic model reduction methodology implemented in the BioUML software, this paper demonstrates that the model can be approximated by a much smaller model without affecting its dynamics. This approach significantly simplifies the process of the complex biological systems modeling and expands the scope of research in silico. The results will be used to optimize the complex modular model of apoptosis including CD95 receptor signaling pathway.
