Simulation of electrical activity of neurons using parallel computing techniques

Abstract:
A software environment for simulation of neuronal cultures is presented that is aimed to describe neural interactions at the cellular level . Most of the processes are considered at the phenomenological level of ion interaction Na$^+$, K$^+$, Cl$^-$, Cl$^{2+}$. A model based on the Izhikevich model was created. It allows studying of the interactions of non-uniform neuronal structures and the results of their joint activities.
