Abstract:
In this paper we compared the method of information decomposition and the spectral-statistical approach. The revealed drawbacks of the spectral-statistical approach show that to search for DNA regions with latent periodicity it is more consistent from mathematical point of view to use Z-statistic and the method of information decomposition.
