Magnetic properties of barium hexaferrite compacted nanopowders

Abstract:
The magnetic characteristics of compact BaFe$_{12}$O$_{19}$ powders have been studied by magnetic force microscopy and magnetometry methods. Powders have been obtained by a chemical method. Compaction-induced magnetic anisotropy of the “easy magnetic plane” type has been found. The nature of anisotropy has been discussed.
