Abstract:
Experimental data are reported for bulk globules up to 1 cm$^3$ in volume that consist of 1000-nm-long carbon nanofibers (CNFs) 35–40 nm in diameter. The CNF clews have been examined in micro- and macroscales by micro-Raman spectroscopy at different excitation energies. Absorption data for the visible and UV parts of the spectrum have been obtained, from which the electron work function of CNFs has been estimated.
