Crazes in plasma-modified polymer materials

Abstract:
We report on the results of an analysis of the craze-formation center in plasma-modified polymers. It is shown that, as a result of plasma modification, oxidation, destruction, and joining processes occur in the polymer, which create conditions for the formation of craze centers and, hence, of crazes.
