Nonlinear acoustic effects in polycrystalline solids with dislocations
V.E.Nazarov Institute of Applied Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Nizhny Novgorod
Abstract:
The equation of state for polycrystalline solids with dislocation dissipative and reactive nonlinearities is derived based on the modification of linear part of the Granato–Lucke dislocation theory of absorption. Nonlinear effects associated with the influence of a static load and a high-power standing acoustic wave in a rod resonator on the propagation of a small-amplitude (probe) wave, as well as the effects of self-action of a high-intensity running wave and its third harmonic generation, are studied theoretically.
