The structure of LiNbO$_{3}$ : Tb crystals with various chemical compositions

Abstract:
A series of LiNbO$_{3}$ : Tb crystals ([Tb] = 0.1–2.89 wt.%) and nominally pure lithium niobate crystals of congruent (LiNbO$_{3\mathrm{cong}}$) and almost stoichiometric compositions (LiNbO$_{3\mathrm{near\,stoich}}$) were grown. The concentration relationships of physicochemical and structural properties of LiNbO$_{3}$ : Tb crystals are studied. The structural parameters of LiNbO$_{3}$ : Tb crystals are compared with those of LiNbO$_{3\mathrm{cong}}$ and LiNbO$_{3\mathrm{near\,stoich}}$.
