Abstract: The paper formulates the inverse problem of electric logging for determining the electrophysical parameters of rocks from measurements by the method of lateral logging sounding in oil and gas wells. A modified method of coordinate descent is proposed. The method is based on the adaptive approximation of the best direction for minimizing the objective function. The effectiveness of the proposed method is investigated on test functions and realistic model.
Keywords: direct optimization methods, coordinate descent method, inverse problem, electric logging.
