Abstract:
One of the main features of the dusty plasma compared to the conventional plasma (without charged dust particles is anomalous dissipation that is caused by the charging of dust particles and is responsible for new physical phenomena, effects, and mechanisms. The process of anomalous dissipation has been taken into account to describe the dynamics of dust particles in the dusty plasma of the lunar exosphere. An equation has been obtained to reproduce oscillations of a dust particle over the surface of the Moon; the damping of these oscillations is determined by the charging frequency of dust particles, which characterizes anomalous dissipation. The results obtained within the developed model of the dynamics of dust particles have been compared with numerical calculations. It has been shown that the analytical model describing anomalous dissipation in the dusty plasma provides adequate results for the largest dust particles about 0.1 $\mu$m in size that rise over the surface of the Moon because of electrostatic processes. The results indicate that anomalous dissipation plays an important role in the dusty plasma of the lunar exosphere.
