Dual-wavelength stimulated emission from a double-layer Cd$_x$Hg$_{1-x}$Te structure at wavelengths of 2 and 3 $\mu$m

Abstract:
Dual-wavelength stimulated emission from a double-layer Cd$_x$Hg$_{1-x}$Te heterostructure optically pumped by a pulsed Nd:YAG laser at temperatures $T=(77$–$150)\,$K is reported. The emission spectral lines have been observed at wavelengths $\lambda_1\sim2\,\mu$m and $\lambda_2\sim3\,\mu$m. Emission spectra recorded at different temperatures are presented.
