CONDENSED MATTER

Amorphous-to-amorphous phase transition in zeolites

N. N. Ovsyuk, S. V. Goryainov

Institute of Mineralogy and Petrology, Siberian Branch RAS
References:
Abstract: A transition between two amorphous phases with different densities has been detected in zeolites at high pressures using Raman scattering. The Raman spectra measured at amorphous-to-amorphous phase transitions in zeolites and silicon are almost identical; this fact suggests a common nature of these transitions in both single-and multicomponent materials.
