Abstract:
The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of psychological approaches to the problem of
intelligence and thinking in terms of applicability in the interpretation of artificial intelligence systems.
The question is raised about the contradictions associated with attributing artificial intelligence (AI) to
the properties of natural intelligence. The limited interpretation of intelligence as a set of elementary
processes of information processing is indicated. The features of mental development at the stages of ontogenesis, developed in cultural-historical psychology, are described. The conceptual ideas of the development of intelligence, laid down in the genetic psychology of J. Piaget, are revealed, which can serve as
an impetus to the modeling of AI. The main trends of a systemic study of the problem of AI are discussed.
The problematic issues related to the psychology of AI are described. The conclusion is drawn about the
prospects of an interdisciplinary research in the field of artificial intelligence, the difficulties associated
with its development and implementation are indicated.
