Validation of output data
from GFS (global forecasts system)
with the results of aerologic sounding

Abstract:
On the basis of correlation analysis the degree of agreement (validation) of predictive values of the
atmospheric stratification (24 hours in advance), obtained from the global atmospheric model (T254,
NCEP) with the actual data of upper-air sounding of meteorological station in the North Caucasus (Mineralnye Vody, Divnoye) was assessed. It shows the high degree of coincidence of planned and actual data.
