Abstract:
Background. The aim of this work is to numerical study the problem propagation of leaky TE-electromagnetic waves a multilayer regular waveguide structure. Material and methods. The problem boils down to solving the eigenvalue problem for a system of ordinary differential equations. In order to obtain a numerical solution to the problem, the parameter shooting method is used.
Results. A numerical method for solving the propagation problem of an electromagnetic wave in waveguide was developed and implemented, and several numerical experiments were carried out.
Conclusions. The proposed numerical method is an effective way to find an approximate solution to the problem of propagation of electromagnetic waves.
