A numerical method for solving a nonlinear eigenvalue problem for an inhomogeneous waveguide

Abstract:
Two numerical methods for solving nonlinear eigenvalue problem are proposed and justified. The results are generalized for the case of non-homogeneous dielectric waveguide of circular cross section filled with a dielectric exhibiting a local Kerr-type nonlinearity.
