Computer simulation of electrical properties of supracrystalline nanotubes
R. A. Brazwe, A. A. Karenin Ulyanovsk State Technical University, Ulyanovsk
Abstract:
The authors investigate energy stability and electrical properties of the nanotubes produced from 2D-sypracrystals, formerly suggested by the researcher, by means of a computer modeling technic. The article considers supracrystalline nanotubes from the atoms of carbon, silicon, boron and nitrogen, sulfur. It is shown that the electrical properties of supracrystal nanotubes may be controlled in large range (from metallic to dielectric) changing their chemical composition, structure, diameter and chirality.
Keywords:
supracrystals, nanotubes, chirality, energy stability, gap energy.
