Numerical solution of the problem of propagation of electromagnetic waves in weakly guiding waveguides

Abstract:
The article analyses a problem of electromagnetic waves propagation in weakly guiding dielectric waveguide. The problem is reduced to the linear eigenvalue problem for integral operator with symmetric, positive, weakly polar kernel. The authors apply the Galerkin method for problem solving. The article introduces the numerical results.
