Coupling problem for electromagnetic TE waves propagating in a flat two-layer nonlinear dielectric waveguide

D. V. Valovik

Penza State University, Penza
References:
Abstract: The article considers electromagnetic TE-wave propagation in a two-layered dielectric waveguide. Permittivities inside the layers are described by Kerr law. The layers are located between two semi-infinite spaces with constant permittivities. The authore derives a dispersion equation for eigenvalues (propagation constants) of the problem.
Keywords: conjugation problem for ordinary differential equations in multiply-connected domain, Kerr nonlinearity, dispersion equation.
