Numerical solution of the problem of propagation of electromagnetic TM waves in a circular dielectric waveguide filled with a nonlinear medium

Abstract:
The authors investigate a problem of TM-polarized electromagnetic wave propagation in nonlinear two-layer dielectric waveguide with circular cross-section. Waveguide is filled by nonlinear media. The physical problem is reduced to a nonlinear conjugation eigenvalue problem. A numerical method to solve the problem is suggested. Numerical results are presented.
