Abstract:
The paper considers the structure of the database, independent of the subject-oriented field of knowledge. When developing the architecture of the database, the experience of operating a regional database of radioecological data was taken into account. The structure of the database, optimized for the specifics of long-term data storage, which is based on a series of national standards in the field of information technology (Metadata) and the state-impact system for ensuring the unity of measurements, is described. A database with a given structure can store a wide class of data and, if necessary, is infinitely expanded both substantively and physically to the capabilities of Big Data without changing the structure in the long term. The limit is the memory size of the physical media. Standardizing the formats of data tables and connecting tables of interaction with metadata allows you to simplify and increase the reliability of information conversion and migration procedures.
