Abstract:
In modern warfare, it is useful for both sides to have objective evaluations of the degree of success in achieving their
objectives and to optimize them.
This situation is closest to the mathematical model of zero-sum matrix games, when in any case one participant should lose
no more than the guaranteed value and the other should win no more than the same value. These conditions serve as the basis
for the conducted research.
The optimal strategies for each side are found, showing the probability with which they should take different actions in an
unexpected way for the opponent.
The proposed model is sufficiently adequate to the studied problem and allows, under certain assumptions, to obtain
quantitative recommendations for optimizing the actions of the participants of an artillery duel.
Keywords:
matrix game, optimal strategy, firing and intercepting batteries, level and high trajectories.
