Abstract: The two-dimensional unit simplex is considered. The vector field on the simplex is obtained by linear interpolation. Then the two-dimensional vector field is expanded to three-dimensional vector field on a prism. The solenoidality of expansion is proved. The volumes of the vector field flux are calculated on the prism. The formula of the average volume density is obtained.
