Numerical simulation of deformation process of electromagnetic launcher elements in two-dimensional case

M. P. Galanin, D. A. Yakovlev
Abstract: This work considers numerical algorithm based on finite element method (FEM) for modeling processes in electromagnetic railgun launchers especially elastic deformations in the construction. Dependence of stress fields in the vicinity of the complex elastic wedge on arbitrary material and geometric parameters is analyzed. The numerical results for different geometry are presented.
