Modeling the ITS reactor chamber and blanket response to micro-explosion

Abstract:
In this paper the basic elements of FIHIF concept are described. All components of this concept — from driver to steam cycle — are connected in whole by the physical and mathematical models. The analytical investigation and numerical simulation of the chamber and blanket response showed, that for our chamber the relaxation time is in agreement with the repetition rate of micro-explosion. The blanket energy deposition numerical calculation is the basis for power plant scheme construction.
