The construction of wide-range equation of state of tungsten
A. S. Grushin, A. F. Nikiforov, V. G. Novikov
Abstract:
Construction of a wide-range equation of state (EOS) by using the interpolation between local EOS, built on the basis of well known theoretical and semi-empirical models, is considered. The interpolation uses the sewing of surfaces with the aid of Hermit patches. As an example, the method is applied for the construction of the wide-range EOS of tungsten. The comparison of the obtained EOS with known experimental and theoretical data is made. Finally, the conclusion on applicability of the method to the construction of wide-range equation of state for arbitrary substance is discussed. The Hartree-Fock-Slater model was used as the basic model, which was supplemented by Thomas-Fermi model, Saha model and Quotidian Equation of State.
