Abstract:
The work is devoted to evaluating the optimal application fields of gamma-rays sources based on radio nuclides Ir-192 & Se-75 for nondestructive testing by means of mathematical modeling methods. The first results of using the mathematical modeling for the analysis of the radiographic image quality of sensitivity etalons are presented in given report. The determination of optimal application fields of gamma-rays sources for nondestructive testing was made basing on analysis in question. A discrete model of sensitivity etalon was constructed and series of calculations of etalon images was carried out. The application field of Ir-192 and Se-75 isotopes was estimated by using results of calculations in question. An analysis of quality of sensitivity etalons image with counting for scattered radiation was carried out.
