Program package MARPLE3D performance and scalability measurements

Abstract: Performance was measured of the program package MARPLE3D for simulation of pulsed magnetically driven plasma. The measurements were carried out while solving both test and practical problems using high performance computing. Speedup, efficiency and cost of computations were examined. Practical performance criteria was defined which is the number of computational mesh cells per computing node. Its optimal value for the studied software was found to be from 10 to 50 thousand.
